Volunteering on site update

As of today, here is the information Principal Choi has shared with the PTA: 

​

-In order to enter campus during school hours, you need full clearance approval (TB test, fingerprinting, approved application). 

​

-To speak with your Childs teacher or assist them with take home tasks, you can see if your Childs teacher is available on site after school. 

​

-The representative assisting Aya and Principal Choi has indicated that the whole process for fingerprinting to approval can take up to 3 months time.  

​

-Volunteering after school for PTA activities is ok, as clearance is not required. 

 

-If your teacher has a holiday type celebration planned where parents are officially invited, parents would "check in as a visitor."  Clearance is not needed for these in classroom celebrations BUT these celebrations will be scheduled by your classroom teacher.  Keep in mind some classroom celebrations are NOT holiday related (such as teddy bear picnic in Kinder), therefore parents will not be able to check in as a visitor to help with SET UP or to ATTEND.

-Field trips may be rescheduled or postponed if there are not enough aides to accompany students.  Once there are enough cleared parent volunteers, this will likely change.
